Suspects shoot a person whereas stealing his canines | Information


LEBANON, TN (WSMV) – Police responded to a scene last night in which a man said two people tried to steal his dogs before they opened fire.

The Wilson County Sheriff’s Office said police responded to gunshots on the 600 block of General Kershaw Drive at 9 p.m. yesterday evening after they found a man who had been shot in both legs. Police said the victim could not communicate if the suspects were still at the scene.

Another man was seen near the crime scene by a detective going to a rendezvous with other officers. Upon contact, the man said he was in the residence where the shooting took place while he was putting his dogs in a kennel.

Police said the man claims he was approached by two men in masks and threatened to steal his dogs. The man said after words that he shot several times before grabbing him and forcing him into their vehicle.

Shortly after leaving the shooting scene, they forced him out of the vehicle around General Kershaw and Sandersville Road.
